Recognition
Atat Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh has been established w.e.f. 15.10.2020 (Notification No.162317 1-4-202-G-137 12018 dated 13.10.2020) by the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature Act No.42 of 2018 (Notification No.2575(2)/LXXIX-V-1-18-1 (ka) 28-18 dated 22.12.2018) as a State University and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 by conducting courses through its own departments, its constituent colleges and/or through its affiliated colleges in regular mode with the approval of concerned statutory bodies/councils, wherever required.
The name of the University has been included in the list of universities established as per Section 2(f) of UGC Act. 1956, as maintained by the UGC on its website www.ugc.ac.in.
